Description
Summary:As a manufacturing industry that is growing and developing in the Industry 4.0 era, the Railway Manufacturing Industry always strives to fulfill all customer requirment as a form of appreciation for the best service in order to guarantee that customers will return to buy Railway Manufacturing Industry products because they are satisfied with product quality and services previously provided. This makes the Railway Manufacturing Industry try to grant customer requests for any changes in product design when the product is running at the production stage. The increasing demand for design changes during the production process needs to be balanced with the speed of document distribution and speed of information on the status of the documents. Management of document distribution and design changes needs to be done intelligently with a Configurable Virtual Workstation based system. In this study, a framework for document distribution management and design change management is proposed to compensate for non-ideal conditions that occur in the product realization process. The results of this study indicate a decrease in the distribution time of design documents and the system can provide realtime information on the status of design documents as a reference for an ongoing operation.
