Summary: | Education is the right of everyone and has a very important role in community life.
Improving and maintaining the quality of education is very important to do. Point
4 of Indonesia's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aims to ensure an
inclusive and equitable quality of education. Among them, by 2030, ensuring that
all people complete primary and secondary education free, equal and quality.
However, the current condition of education units in Indonesia still needs to be
improved to meet these objectives. There are many factors that can affect the quality
of education, including safety from natural disasters, environmental comfort, and
the affordability of schools to live in. West Java Province is an area that is often
affected by various natural disasters, air pollution, and has educational problems
that are not evenly distributed. So a multi-aspect analysis is needed from the
geographic location of the West Java education unit to assess the quality of
education in terms of these three aspects. This study aims to synthesize various
aspect analyzes that will produce an assessment of the quality of education from
the three aspects as well as the suitability of land for new schools. This study uses
educational unit point data sourced from the West Java Education Office. There
are 19,692 SD points, 5,372 SMP points, and 4,603 SMA / SMK points spread
across West Java. The education unit point is integrated with various geospatial
data for analysis. The method used is the Multi Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA)
with the sub-method of multi-hazard assessment, overlay, and network analysis.
The results show that many educational units are in a high disaster-prone zone and
a low comfort zone. Also, the results of the accesibility analysis show that education
units are still not evenly distributed, especially in areas far from urban areas. In
addition, estimates of the distribution of new schools have been made based on
budget scenarios from the map of land price estimates in the suitable locations. |
