In addition, operators are still doing their work manually, so they are prone to human error and exposure to chemical fluids on the dural line. Therefore, this study seeks to build a prototype of a real-time process monitoring and controlling automation system on the dural line of PT Dirgantara Indonesia. The reference method for developing automation systems in this study was carried out based on the engineering design framework. The stages of this framework are identify the problem, understand, ideate, evaluate, prototype and test, as well as communicate your solution. The reference method is then developed into detailed steps according to the need to design an automation system. The system is built in the form of a physical prototype taking into account predetermined system requirements. This study produces the architecture of design, hardware used, and control logic in the system. Furthermore, the architectural design is made in physical form into a prototype that will be tested to be able to monitor and control process parameters in real-time. The control component used is a programmable logic controller (PLC), with the human-machine interface (HMI) as an interface used by the operator to input parameters. Testing is carried out using two types of scenarios that can describe the real conditions on the production floor. After testing, the prototype is evaluated and produces several conclusions that the designed system can meet several system requirements because there are limitations in the design.
