However, despite its position as the capital city, according to data from the Palu City Public Water Supply Company, the service coverage of water needs in 2020 is 21%, the condition of the Palu City Water SupplyRegional Company is still in the "sakit" category, so further improvement is needed.There are 3 drinking water treatment plants operating in Palu City, namely Poboya(30 LPS), Kawatuna (20 LPS), and Watutela (10 LPS), this figure is still far from meeting the drinking water demands of the people of Palu City, so a new installationdesign is planned to utilize raw water from Palu River which has adequate quantity.There are three water quality parameters that do not meet the requirements, namely the iron parameter at 3.04 mg/L and the coliform parameters at 3 for E. Coli and 11 for Total Coli. Using JICA and SNI tables, several alternatives were formed which were then compared to one another using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. The chosen alternative consisted of a bar screen unit, in-line coagulation with PAC, cascade aerator, clariflocculator, rapid sand filter, and chlorination. Considering the RISPAM of Palu City that has been compiled and the results of the projection of drinking water needs, a WTP is designed with a capacity of 450 LPS for the 1st period and 900 LPS for 2nd period. The investment cost or CAPEX required to build the IPA for phase 1 is IDR 22,131,000,000 and for phase 2 it is IDR 44,262,000,000. Meanwhile, the operational cost or OPEX for the IPA per year is Rp. 5,668,972,232.92. text |
