Description
Summary:Abstract:

In this reseach, short shunt configuration of three phase induction generator self-excited with voltage compensation using capasitors has been analyzed. The system consisting of both shunt and series capasitors. The shunt capasitor using for excitation and series capasitor using for voltage compensation.

This analysis for steady state case of induction generator self-ecited. A methodology to select appropriate set of series capasitor value described detail. Performance induction generator self-ecited short shunt and long shunt configuration has been compared, and this shown the superiority of the short shunt configuration.

For verify this method to done experimen laboratorium on induction machine 3 fase, 4 poles, 220/380 volts (a/Y), 15.1/9.1 ampers (./Y), 4 Kw. Very good agreement between experimental and computer simulation result have been on a 4-Kw laboratory machine.
