However, the excess amount makes carbon a threat to climate change and environmental sustainability. Carbon emissions that are getting higher over time disrupt the natural cycle of carbon, its levels can no longer be overcome by natural processes or simply rely on absorption from vegetation. A more effective and efficient approach is needed with carbon capture installations or the like. In densely populated areas such as Jakarta, the issue of limited land and high levels of mobilization ultimately results in an uncontrollable increase in emissions. In East Jakarta, for example, in the environmental service's air quality report for 2021, it is noted that there are 127 days that are categorized as unhealthy in a year. In the end, carbon issues are not only related to the environment and climate, but also health, economic, social, and others. Nonetheless, public attention and awareness regarding environmental and health issues has also increased from time to time. It is important for today's young generation to know how the products they consume are produced. Information regarding raw materials, production schemes, even the distribution process is an important consideration for consumers to ensure that the goods used do not contaminate. The involvement of the younger generation in activities based on environmental issues is increasing both on a local and national scale. This project aims to explore new approaches to solving carbon problems that are more based on coherent sustainability. The embodiment of sustainability in design is mapped through a hedonistic sustainability approach that allows humans to carry out their activities optimally while remaining responsible for the environment. The design was developed through literature review, precedent studies, regulatory studies, field observations and analysis. Through the existing site in the form of a KRL depot whose operations are maintained and adapted without interruption, then additional functions are added at the top level for the youth centre and carbon hub. The results of the studies in this report show that a hedonistic sustainability approach with a focus on people, planet, profit, and pleasure can allow for a broad architectural exploration, especially regarding how to achieve sustainability without too many sacrifices. The eco-friendly vision brought by PT KAI as the owner and manager of the existing site can be realized in a more direct manner in implementing carbon capture installations as a contribution to improving air quality in the surrounding area. In addition, the function of the youth center or youth arena is also complementary to support the sustainability of efforts to save the environment through carbon-related education and publications. Visitors, who are generally the younger generation, are also the target market for products resulting from carbon processing. This is supported by social conditions where the surrounding community tends to be strong and there are also many educational institutions. Activities that live in public spaces ultimately make the cycle of social, economic and cultural life sustainable. text
