Description
Summary:Supply chain management for the smooth management of materials is critical in improving the process of railway manufacturing, so a system is needed to record each activity. The recording process is currently still done manually, so it takes time to obtain data and has the potential to cause errors, and requires a long time for data processing. This condition will cause horizontal integration of the company's operating system to be challenging to achieve. This research is a preliminary study to complement the deficiencies experienced by the railway manufacturing industry in terms of material monitoring and management. By implementing this system, material management is expected to be faster, more detailed, and more precise. The system will be able to record and process data in real-time, fully tracking and monitoring all activities. Based on the data obtained for each activity will be processed into some information, both monitoring, recording, checking, and shipping. In addition, inefficiencies can also be reduced, such as knowing how much intermediate material can be used or damaged so that action can be taken to minimise losses. This information can later be used to evaluate improvements to the work system.
