Description
Summary:Kampung Bahari Tambaklorok Fish Auction Market and Culinary Centre is a development of local economic facilities aimed to support and increase fishery industry activities as the source of income for the local populace. The development of the facility implies a change in trip generation and attraction and hence the need for a transportation system with analyses and planning that could fulfill the trip demands in the vicinity of the facility. The change in visitor trip generation and attraction is predicted using the trip rate model, whilst change in goods trip generation and attraction is predicted from local fish industry growth. From the predictions, impacts of trip demand change on traffic performance and behavior are analyzed. In the infrastructural section, requirements of access pavement and parking system for the facility are analyzed. Flexible pavement is chosen in designing facility road access. The aforementioned pavement design is based on future axle load prediction, local environmental conditions, and construction efficiency considerations. The parking system is analyzed based on the needs of parking space in standard parking unit compared to existing architectural parking layouts. According to those analyzed needs, the configuration, circulation, queueing generation and parking signs are engineered to complete the parking system design.
