The purpose of establishing a BUM Desa is to increase the village's income and improve community welfare. The majority of BUM Desa face obstacles in realizing the goals of BUM Desa. This is because BUM Desa is constrained in realizing the strategic management process. The BUM Desa strategic management process is the process of formulating strategies, implementing strategies, and controlling strategies. Leadership in this study is proposed as an important element that can drive the realization of a successful Village BUM strategic management. This research was conducted using a single case study. The selection of a single case study is considered the most relevant for in-depth study of the role of leadership in the strategic management of BUM Desa. The data collection method used is a qualitative method with interviews, documentation and observation. The data that has been collected is then performed data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Leadership is studied based on four factors, namely individual character factor, internal environmental factor, external environmental factor, and institutional governance factor. Based on the results of the study it was found that the Director of BUM Desa Tridadi Makmur has good individual characteristics, has appropriate management skills and experience. This individual character factor is a source of trust for advisors, supervisors, and society. The institutional governance of BUM Desa Tridadi Makmur runs formally and informally in accordance with applicable regulations. External environmental factors affect the leadership of BUM Desa Tridadi Makmur which can be seen from government support, collaboration with other institutions with. internal environmental factors, especially the condition of human resources, tend to be an obstacle in the strategic management of BUM Desa. Leadership has a role in the strategic management of BUM Desa. The leadershipiv of BUM Desa Tridadi Makmur is influenced by individual characteristics and institutional governance factors that drive strategic management and the achievement of BUM Desa objectives. The role of leadership can be increased through the development and utilization of internal environmental factor and external environmental factor in order to achieve the goals of BUM Desa. text |
