Summary:This research presents low velocity impact simulation on foam core sandwich composite with carbon fiber material in the facesheet. The simulations use 3 FEM models, the model with CZM, the model without CZM and the model with material properties improvement. Rectangular plate was used as the simulation specimen with dimension of 150mm x 100mm x 15mm. The output from this simulation are interlaminar damage, intralaminar damage, and foam core damage. The results obtained will be compared to the reference journal being used in this research in order to access the accuracy of the simulations.
