This is important to support a decent life for its people, with the thought that the needs of an area may not be fully facilitated from the region itself. In Sorong Regency, West Papua Province, there are various natural resource potentials that are planned to become one of the new economic growth centers in eastern Indonesia. The leading sectors in Sorong Regency come from the manufacturing, mining and quarrying industry sectors, as well as from the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors. To facilitate the need for the transportation of goods from these sectors, it is necessary to develop a general cargo berth structure at Port of Arar. This final project discusses the design of a general cargo berth structure as an extension of the existing wharf, with reference to the OCDI (2020), British Standard (BS), and Indonesian National Standard (SNI) as design standards. The scope of the design consists of processing environmental data, calculating the loads acting on the structure, determining the dimensions of the structure and elements of the berth structure, geotechnical analysis, as well as modeling and analysis of the berth structure. The results of the modeling must meet the deflection requirements, value of the unity check ratio (UCR) within the range of 0.8 – 1.0, and reaction force values less than the axial bearing capacity of the soil. The model that meets the requirements is then used to obtain the forces in the structural elements which are then used for reinforcement design. The outcome of this final project is a design plan which includes the dimensions and layout of the berth structure, the dimensions of the structural elements, and the reinforcement design for concrete elements of the berth structure. text
