One solution is the cultivation of corn fodder with a higher level of nutrition and can be cultivated in limited land conditions. The tendency of cattle breeders to buy fodder, rather than cultivating it separately, supports the establishment of a business to fulfil feed needs. This requires an initial analysis of the willingness to pay (WTP) of cattle breeders and factors that influence cattle breeders to pay for corn fodder products as an alternative for fulfil needs of green forage. The business activity of producing fodder has a negative impact on the environment due to the use of machines. Therefore, this research also develop an assessment and formulate activity to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) for fodder product life cycle as an alternative green forage. This research was conducted in Jambi City and its environs by distributing questionnaires about WTP to beef cattle breeders using purposive sampling. WTP was analyzed using the contingent valuation method (CVM) and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of WTP analysis showed the value of cattle breeders in Jambi City want to pay for corn fodder products was Rp. 700.00/Kg. Factors that affect the value of WTP of cattle breeders are educational background, number of livestock, income level, and trust level of a product. The result of Assessment in life cycle product are environmental impacts of GHG emissions and acidification from corn fodder production are 1.58 KgCO2eq and 4.9 × 10- 4 KgSO2eq respectively. The best option suggested in this research for reduce emissions continuing the use diesel fuel which has a less emission impact compared to biogas emissions of 97.5 KgCO2eq text
