Description
Summary:Comparison of the percentage of Vocational Higher Education and the percentage of Academic Higher Education in Indonesia is still very unequal. Higher Education Gross Enrollment Rate in Lampung Province is one of the 5 lowest provinces. Then in the development of vocational there is a problem of achieving learning competency standards, one of which is due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure. In addition, the existence of Higher Education often has an impact on the surrounding environment. In South Lampung Regency there is a non-profit organization that has plans to develop a vocational college, but according to the South Lampung Regency Spatial Planning the location is designated as agricultural land. Therefore, it is necessary to plan the site location of the vocational Higher Education by taking into account the limitations of the land and the surrounding area and the principle of being environmentally friendly. The method in this study used a qualitative descriptive method, and used the preparation site planning method, namely the fragmental method with the site planning design method using the optimization method. This study has the conclusion that the vocational plan is still possible to be developed on agricultural land use, but has a limiting factor for site development related to the availability of road infrastructure, water, and waste utilities. In accordance with the needs of the organization, an academic plan has been formulated as well as requirements and standards for vocational higher education in the field of computer science and information technology. Site planning in this study also has the principle of being environmentally friendly which has 3 criteria, namely accessible, inclusive, and compact.
