Description
Summary:Settlement is a challenge for the 3rd Runway Development project at Soekarno Hatta Airport to achieve the planned completion target. Meanwhile, the growth in demand for airline destinations is quite a large number which cannot be accommodated. Settlement will occur if a layer of soil experiences an additional load (surcharge) greater than the design load at the same time interval. Settlement is also influenced by the distribution of soft soil or clay found below the surface on alluvial plains. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the DCM (deep cement mixing) method as an alternative soil improvement that can solve settlement problems by knowing the soil subsidence behavior using the DCM soil reinforcement type with several study models. The results of the study to be reviewed are land subsidence with several modeling variations and also the load transfer mechanism that occurs with a certain level of loading. With the scope of calculation of the modeling results, the amount of settlement is limited by the DCM method
