Description
Summary:Air transportation is one of the effective modes of transportation in connecting between islands. Air transportation starts from the airport, where the airport itself is a subsystem of a large aviation network. Indonesia as a country with a scale-free flight network type is very vulnerable to disturbances that can cause disruptions to national-scale flights. Countries with a scale-free flight network type also means that there are airports that have a more important role in connecting not only flight connections but also clusters of flight network. If there is a disturbance at the airport which requires operational shutdown, there will be areas that will be cut off from the national network route which will certainly have social and economic impacts. A metric is needed to measure how robust Indonesia's aviation network is. This study intends to answer this question, with a metric called General Parameter Strength which is the accumulated value of a metric that measures network parameters specifically in the context of complex network theory. This research not only analyses the performance of the national aviation network but also simulates airport shutdown, both without diversion and with diversion of flight routes.
