Description
Summary:The world is currently faced with the Covid-19 pandemic which is closely related to social aspects. Vulnerable social aspects cause Covid-19 to enter and cause the Covid- 19 pandemic disaster. Based on related studies, the vulnerable social aspects in an area are directly proportional to the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the area. Bandung City is the city with the third highest number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in West Java Province after Bekasi City and Depok City, but the two cities are indeed close to the first epicenter of Covid-19 or enter the Jabodetabek area. This makes Bandung City interesting to study aspects of social vulnerability to produce recommendations for handling after the Covid-19 pandemic. To do this, secondary data collection and descriptive statistical analysis and prescription analysis were conducted to process the data. From the results of the analysis, it is known that there are 9 indicators that make up the social vulnerability in this study, and 3 sub-districts in Bandung City with high social vulnerability were found. With the existence of 3 sub-districts that have high social vulnerability, recommendations for handling postCovid-19 pandemic per indicator are given by referring to applicable rules or plans. However, these 3 sub-districts with high social vulnerability turned out to be not very significant when compared to the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the subdistrict during the last Covid-19 pandemic, so it is necessary to study other aspects of vulnerability such as physical, or economic and also environmental vulnerability that have the possibility of more significant results compared to this social vulnerability study.
