Description
Summary:The Lahendong geothermal field has a brine temperature of 170°C with a separator pressure of 8.5 barg. The total mass flow will be about 30.54 kg/s. Before injection, the heat in the brine can still be used for the needs of the local community, one of which is by implementing a cascade system. The Cascade system is a multilevel integrated system in applications that utilize geothermal sources based on high temperature to low temperature. This study aims to identify, design each direct use application and analyze the thermodynamics and economic value of each direct use application. The calculation method used in this study is thermodynamic analysis and economic analysis. Based on thermodynamic analysis, the heat required for drying coffee is 9.1 kW for a capacity of 1,000 kg, the total heat for drying cloves is 51 kW for a capacity of 1,000 kg, and the power required for tilapia cultivation is 75 kW for 700 fish. Based on the economics of the cascade system for 10 years, the required initial investment is Rp. 808,186,000, IRR of 28%, NPV of IDR 2,065,007,703, PBP of 6 years and ROI of 33%. Based on the results of the economy, the direct utilization cascade system in the Lahendong area is feasible to develop.
