Summary: | Based on Act 18/ 2008 (UU 18/2008) and Regional Regulation of Semarang City
6/2012 (Perda Kota Semarang 6/2012) regarding Waste Management states that
waste management as a resource that has economic value and can be utilized, one of
them for energy. Efforts to develop waste processing into biogas to serve 250
households in TPA Jatibarang conducted in 2019 until 2034. This study aims to
determine the feasibility of waste processing into biogas on the utilization of methane
gas for household gas in TPA Jatibarang 2019-2034. The research uses quantitative
method approach of cost benefit analysis, with data retrieval method through field
observation and interview to the parties involved in program implementation. The
calculating cost benefit is performed by quantifying the cost and benefit variables of
expected impacts with landfill gas (LFG) technology, and comparing with the
sensitivity analysis using anaerobic digester (AD) and gasification technologies. The
results show that waste processing into biogas on the utilization of methane gas for
household gas in Jatibarang landfill is feasible to be continued for the next 15 years
either for LFG, AD, or gasification technology. But in side of cost, using LFG
technology is better chosen because it is more profitable than the other technologies.
While in side of environmental friendlines, using AD or gasification technology can
be selected because it is more effective to reduce waste landfill than LFG technology. |
