Description
Summary:This study aims to carry out a structural evaluation of the Batang Toru-National Road section. Padang Sidimpuan City and to determine the thickness of the overlay. Based on the analysis of the Uniformity Factor (FK), each road segment is divided into 5 (five) segments. Structural evaluation of flexible pavement using the AASHTO 1993 method was carried out based on the deflection values d1 and d6 on both road sections from the deflection data survey tool FWD (Falling Weight Deflectometer) which aims to determine the subgrade Resilient Modulus (MR) and Pavement Effective Modulus (EP) values. then used to determine the SNeff (Structural Number Effective) value, the SNf (Structural Number in Future) value, and determine the thickness of the added layer (overlay). Structural evaluation of flexible pavements using the 2017 Pavement Design Manual (MDP) method was carried out based on the deflection values D0-D200 with pavement temperatures using 41°C and determining the overlay thickness using the Design Chart. Comparison of the two methods shows that the overlay thickness of the 2017 MDP calculation is thinner than the analysis using the 1993 AASHTO method.
