Description
Summary:Gede Pangrango National Park is a protected forest conservation area in West Java which is rich in biodiversity, thus making it a well-known object of research and natural tourism both domestically and internationally. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry cooperates directly with the Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park Center in carrying out conservation efforts in the area to protect the natural resources in it, especially hundreds of species of wild animals, some of which are endemic and threatened with extinction. However, there are still many problems that hinder the optimization of these conservation efforts, both internally and externally. The problems that arise come from ecotourism and demographic aspects, namely from tourists and local communities living in and around the area. This study aims to analyze these problems and review the interrelationships between all aspects, in order to draw a solution in the form of a need that can be met by designing an ideal facility. The research method uses qualitative methods by collecting literature surveys, interviews, and field observations. The analysis of the data that has been collected will then become the basis for designing the Wildlife Education Center with the concept of "Harmony in Diversity", which holds the value of creating a harmonious life between humans and nature.
