Summary:Indonesia is one of the country that has ratified the UNCLOS 1982. As the consequence, Indonesia has to fulfill its obligation and gets its rights on the sea that has been arranged in that international law of the sea. The determination of continental shelf and the extended continental shelf has been already been arranged in the UNCLOS 1982. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In the determination of the sea boundaries, a supporting tool in the form of main information system (spatial and non-spatial) and integrated database that contains concerning information about the sea boundaries is required. This information can be built, stored, managed, manipulated, and presented in a more accurate and faster way. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This paper provides a study of spatial database design for Indonesian continental shelf. The spatial database system can provide the information about Indonesian continental shelf and also can be used as an alternative for deposit of the Indonesia’s continental shelf to the UN. <br />
