Summary: | The Covid-19 outbreak compelled all previously office-based businesses and organizations to switch
to remote employment. This prompts employees to re-adapt to the circumstance so that they can
continue to optimize their productivity. Over the first six months of this work-from-home
arrangement, a few employees complained about the onset of burnout characteristics. In this study,
researchers are interested in assessing employee work burnout during the Covid - virus epidemic.
This research will assess the amount of burnout experienced by employees, the factor of burnout in
employees, and the employee-perceived remedies for addressing the primary factors. This study was
carried out at Bappenas. The data gathering method consisted of distributing a questionnaire to
directorate 1 work unit, with 21 people responding. Using the Maslach burnout inventory as a gauge
of employee burnout levels. This study indicates that working from home partially has a favorable
and statistically significant association with employee performance and burnout levels. It has been
demonstrated that working from home may either increase or decrease employee fatigue and
productivity. Hence, employers are obliged to pay greater attention to work system that will be
utilized while working from home to maintain optimal levels of work productivity and burnout. |
