Research have been done in this area because there are indications of hidrocarbon. The purpose of this research is to describe the subsurface geological condition of the area through distribution of resistivity and also to add the data for hidrocarbon exploration.
Distribution of resistivity both in laterally and vertically can describe subsurface geological condition. The method used to derive the distribution of resistivity is resistivity anisotropi, Whereas sounding (curve matching) and profiling are used as a camparison.
Distribution of resistivity that obtained through resistivity anisotropi, which has calibrated with log data give the best result since this method is appropriate with geological conditions. By using this method we can estimate hidrokarbon reserve and its distribution. Log data analysis show that hidrokarbon has a stratigraphyc trap in shaped of lenses.
