Description
Summary:Based on data obtained from PT Angkasa Pura II Soekarno Hatta Airport, the average daily aircraft movement reaches 650 movements (take-off and landing). As a result of the movement of the aircraft can result in the accumulation of rubber deposits on the runway. Rubber deposit is the thickening of the rubber layer produced by the movement of aircraft over the runway surface as a result of friction between the aircraft tires and the surface. The accumulation of rubber deposits results in reduced friction on the runway, so rubber deposits must be cleaned regularly. The movement of aircraft operating at Soekarno Hatta Airport varies, thus affecting the location of the rubber deposit accumulation area. This study aims to analyze the effect of the number of aircraft movements on the accumulation of rubber deposits related to the frequency of cleaning rubber deposits and testing the roughness value. The importance of this research objective is achieved considering that the cleaning of rubber deposits will cause the effect of grinding the surface layer of the pavement. Data collection in this study used secondary data, namely: data on the type of aircraft and the frequency of its movement used to determine the tracks of the aircraft's wheels in order to find out which areas produce rubber deposits. Historical data on rubber deposit cleaning and roughness testing is used to compare whether the frequency of rubber deposit cleaning and roughness testing is in line with the estimated thickness of the rubber deposit accumulation from the results of the calculation analysis. Validation of calculation analysis using error test data (Mu-Meter) in the field. The texture depth of the runway pavement surface can be determined from the suitability between the frequency of aircraft landings per day and the estimated thickness of the rubber deposit (mm). The results of this study are three parameters that affect the process of stacking rubber deposits, namely: frequency, the maximum weight of the aircraft, and configuration of the width of the aircraft wheels. In order to obtain the overlapping section that provides the most accumulation of rubber deposit thickness per day, namely in the overlapping section 1 which produces a rubber deposit thickness of 0.2 – 0.3 mm in segments 3 – 3.5 m from the centerline, which on average is donated by type of Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
