Description
Summary:The spread of hospital-acquired infections is a major concern for healthcare facilities, as it can lead to increase morbidity and mortality among patients. In this final project, the authors present an agent-based model to simulate the transmission of hospital-acquired infections under different intervention scenarios. The model considers the interaction between patients and the effectiveness of interventions carried out in the hospital. The authors also conduct a sensitivity analysis to assess the model and the impact of various model parameters on the results. The simulation results show that isolating infected patients and minimizing the time to get test results is the most effective strategy to reduce hospital-acquired infections.
