In Indonesia,according to the Alliance of Indigenous People of the Archipelago (AMAN), the population of indigenous people is estimated to be around 40-70 million people. In the data released by the Indigenous Territory Registration Agency/BRWA inIndonesia, there are 1596 total customary territories that have been recorded, and based on these data it is known that the province with the most customary territoriesis the province of West Kalimantan. One of the regencies in West Kalimantan that still maintains its customs socially is Bengkayang Regency, specifically in Jagoi Babang District which is located in the Indonesia-Malaysia Border region. One of the sectors that can be developed in the border area is through the tourism sector. The purposeof this research is to gain an in-depth understanding of the development of sustainable Indigenous Ecotourism in the specific Indonesia-Malaysia border area in Jagoi Babang District in Economics and Nature Protection/Environment related to the development of Indigenous Ecotourism. The research approach used is a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews, moderate observation and documentation. This study uses the Interactive Model analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that based on an analysis of the sustainability aspects in Economics it shows that the stakeholders in Jagoi Babang already understand their role in efforts to develop indigenous ecotourism destinations, especially from government elements, but for the perpetrators of woven crafts are still lacking, so some training has been given to the tourism actors. As for sustainability in terms of the Nature Protection/Environmental aspect, the stakeholders there realize the importance of protecting the environment in relation to the development of tourismthere, so rattan woven craftsmen are encouraged to have their own rattan garden sothat it does not become extinct. there is through community service when the Gawaiand Cultural Festival will be held, socialization regarding Sapta Pesona has also been carried out. text |
