Description
Summary:Subsurface geology structure based on gravity anomaly interpretation doesn’t give straight information about the location of geologic structure that marked with density contrast contact boundary. To get those information, gradient technique has applied.

Gravity horizontal and vertical characteristic respond simulation has done to support gravity anomaly interpretation. Simulation carried out with making models which has the shape of reverse fault and normal fault structure. First orde of horizontal gradient has maximum or minimum value, while the second one has a zero value at density contrast contact. So, it’s good for determining type of fault structure. Vertical gradient can be used to determine fault structure type.

Then, horizontal and vertical gradient characteristic applied to gravity anomaly data of ”S” field. The result of horizontal and vertical gradient analysis used to forward modelling and subsurface geologic structure interpretation. Forward modelling and the interpretation give a result anticline structures with several normal faults.
