As reported in 2003, there are about 400 bird species introduced worldwide. Introducing alien species into new areas leads to the establishment of invasive species, which harms local biodiversity, human health, and the economy. Therefore, this study was conducted to record invasive alien bird species in Bandung. Taman Ganesha (TG), Taman Balai Kota (TB) and Taman Tegalega (TT) were chosen as suitable areas for bird watching due to their green coverage. The bird survey was carried out by using fixed radius point count method for two hours with 20 minutes intervals in the morning and evening (four repetitions). In addition, a survey was conducted at the Sukahaji Bird Market in Bandung to record the species of birds being traded. Birds were identified using Mackinnon (2010), and data on bird encounters in each park were described in a species time curve. The invasive status of each species was clarified through the Global Invasive Species Database (GISD), the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureaux International (CABI) website, and the Avibase website. The information of their native distribution was clarified through the Clements et al (2021) database and the International Ornithological Committee database (IOC). This study reports that 24 species (18 families) of birds were found in three study sites. Pycnonotus aurigaster (595 individuals), Megalaima haemacephala (513 individuals), Collocalia linchi (428 individuals), Psittacula alexandrii (255 individuals), and Passer montanus (90 individuals) were birds with highest abundance at all observation sites. Based on their feeding guild, insectivore-frugivore (50.08%), insectivore (26.17%), and frugivore-granivore (16.53%) are dominant. Rock Dove (Columba livia, 70 individuals in TT) and the Common Myna (Acridotheres tristis, 9 individuals in TT) are introduced as pets and confirmed as invasive species. The existence of these species is related to the bird market near Tegalega park. Nymphicus hollandicus, Agapornis sp., Columba livia, Acridotheres tristis, and Serinus canaria are invasive species that are found in Sukahaji bird market. This finding of invasive species must be controlled, thus their population will not increase rapidly and become invasive in Bandung. text
