Summary: | Global business conditions and Rupiah exchange rate volatility have also contributed to the drop in oil and gas markets since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in Indonesia in the first quarter of 2020. However, the state of oil and gas fields, which are often in a state of natural decline, presents additional difficulty for businesses to continue their activities. Oil and gas companies, like other businesses, need people to carry out their activities and meet their production targets. The oil and gas business, by its very nature, requires sufficient human resources in terms of numbers and skills. If this is not regulated, it can lead to understaffing affecting goal achievement or over-employment, which can reduce company productivity. For this reason, this study aims to ensure the availability of proper laborers through workforce planning. Based on the current workforce analysis and workforce planning strategy, Patra Log has many lack of workforce planning/strategy starting from their productivity, unstable number of employees, lack of human developments, and their leadership competencies, implement the framework of internal labor market human resource strategy by filling core jobs and critical positions that will be employed in the future from internal resources by filling lower-level selective positions from external recruitment to enhances the core functionality. It is proposed to set up a skills development program to improve technical and managerial skills in order to ensure the use of temporary workers and their readiness for current and future positions. |
