Summary: | The design project of Industrial-based Automotive Vocational School in Bekasi R egency consists of two 2-story buildings and one 3-story building. This final project aims to analyze and design the lower structural system which includes foundations and tie beams that can bear and distribute the combination of loading experienced by the upper structure and design geotechnical structures in accordance with applicable regulations. The standards used in the design of this project refer to SNI 8460-2017, SNI 2847-2019, and SNI 1726-2019. The project has a site class 'SE' with the first layer of hard soil being sandy soil at a depth of 14m - 20m. The foundation system used is a deep foundation of 800 mm diameter drilled piles with depths ranging from 8m to 18m. In the foundation design, axial and lateral bearing capacity and ground settlement were analyzed. The axial bearing capacity of a single pile is analyzed manually using the equation of Reese and Wright, and the lateral bearing capacity is analyzed using LPILE professional software. While the analysis of pile groups, both axial and lateral was analyzed using GROUPS software. Settlement analysis was also conducted for both elastic and consolidation settlement by considering self-weight and other loads using the Boussinesq method. The tie beam was designed by referring to the calculation of the moment resulting from the differential settlement.
