There are limitations in accessing the entrance gate with the conditions and characteristics of each environment, even though accessibility is a factor that determines alternative modes of travel. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accessibility of commuter stations in the Greater Bandung area by identifying existing travel patterns, which are supported by survey data related to mode selection patterns and passenger travel characteristics. This research was conducted by analyzing the preferred mode of travel along with the factors that influence the choice of the mode of access, travel and demographic characteristics, catchment area, the relationship between the mode of access and the distance from the station, and recommendations to improve accessibility for pedestrians and transport users. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the average expenditure per day for transportation for motorized vehicle users is 1.6 times greater than for pedestrians. For motorized vehicle modes, it is known that stations outside Bandung City have a larger catchment area than stations within the city and the access distance to the station is relatively far, which also makes transportation costs when using online transportation relatively high. Most of the walkers selected only travel less than 2 kilometers to the station, with a cumulative number of respondents of 95%. The highest increase in the graph for the walker respondents is at 0.4 kilometers to 1.2 kilometers with an 80% increase, which shows the distance traveled by many of the walker respondents to the station. It was found that the addition of station entrance access can reduce the access distance to the station to only 0.84 times far compared to the existing conditions. text
