INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/72154 "According to the World Health Organization's 2018 report, traffic accidents are the eighth leading cause of death globally. In Indonesia, there were 103,645 traffic accidents in 2021, resulting in 25,266 fatalities and a total loss of up to Rp246 billion. Among the three types of roads in Indonesia, toll roads have the highest accident ratio, with a value of 0.76. Specifically, rear-end collisions are the most frequent type of accident on Indonesian toll roads. Therefore, this study aims to identify the factors causing rear-end accidents on the Cipularang and Cikampek toll roads by developing a questionnaire model. To achieve this research objective, four stages of methodology were carried out. The first stage was an introduction, consisting of a preliminary study, problem formulation, determination of research objectives and benefits, and a literature review. The second stage was the development of a questionnaire model, which included the design of the conceptual questionnaire model, identification of research attributes, and formulation of questionnaire questions. The third stage was the design of the questionnaire, which involved determining research respondents and designing the questionnaire. The final stage of this research methodology was data collection and processing. The result of this research is a questionnaire model that has been developed to identify the causes of rear-end accidents on the Cipularang and Cikampek toll roads. The questionnaire model considers various variables that can affect the occurrence of accidents, including driver demographics, driving experience, risky driving behavior, fatigue, vehicle speed, vehicle type, lane type, road geometry, road density, weather, driving time, and visibility distance. text |
