Summary:It is believed that tourism play an essential role in driving Indonesia’s economic growth. Some tourism types in Indonesia are leisure tourism, cultural, heritage tourism, and many more. As a matter of fact, West Java is surrounded by mountain, lake, and river which makes it as top destinations to visit for people who want to feel relaxed after their daily routine, especially Bandung and Jakarta residents. Most destinations have its own myth and legend story. For that reason, this study attempted to shed a light in a new form of tourism, namely myth and legend tourism in West Java through the identification of tourist’s value and lifestyle. Specifically, this study aims to see the influence of value and lifestyle towards tourist visit intention to West Java myth and legends tourism destinations. Thus, the researcher attempt to get the tourist profile who intends to visit the destination. The analysis was all done in SPSS version 23 and Microsoft Excel through Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression. The online questionnaire which is filled by 302 valid respondents shows that the largest tourism market is from 17-27 years old. In deciding to visit a destination, they are influenced by their friends and relaxation lifestyle. Meanwhile, Schwartz’s value which influenced the intention are power and security. By identifying value and lifestyle of the tourist those drive them to visit the myth and legend tourism destinations, the tourism marketers may contribute to develop the tourism sector in West Java.
