Description
Summary:Since Gorontalo Province was formed in 2001 until now, it often experiences flooding during the rainy season. The area that often experiences flooding is the city of Gorontalo, this is caused by the frequent overflow of 3 (three) rivers (Bone River, Tamalate River and Bolango River). In the “POLA PENGELOLAAN SUMBER DAYA AIR WILAYAH SUNGAI LIMBOTO – BOLANGO – BONE tahun 2010 ( POLA PSDA WS LBB)” in the aspect of controlling the destructive power of water, it is necessary to normalize several watersheds (DAS) in the WS LBB, control of sediments in river channels and construction of reservoirs flood control. The study location is in the Bolango watershed with a length of approximately 25830 m (25,830 km), the topography data and tidal data in Tomini Bay used are from a previous study in 2007. Physical data for the Bulango Ulu dam used a previous study in 2017. Regional Rainfall Post the study was Dulamayo, Longalo and Boidu from 2002 to 2021. This research was conducted to carry out hydrological analysis simulations in the existing conditions and after the existence of the dam to determine the potential for flood reduction and to carry out hydraulics simulations on the Bolango River with daily discharge data from the PDA Telaga Bolango for 1 year to determine changes in river bed elevation. From the results of studies conducted, the construction of the Bulango Ulu Dam has the potential to reduce the peak flood discharge by 6.61% at the peak flood discharge for a 2-year return period and to reduce the peak flood discharge by 8.18% for the peak flood discharge for a 25-year return period. Changes in river bed elevation with simulations for 1 year on the PDA Bolango downstream of the Bolango River tend to experience degradation of 84.52% and agradation of 15.48%.
