Summary: | Natural disasters can occur anywhere the potential threat of natural disaster hazards is a challenge for tourism businesses, so that tourism businesses must be able to adapt to the circumstances or threats of natural disasters. In this study, the focus of research is several tourism businesses located in the Ciwidey tourist area which are included in the criteria of 13 types of tourism businesses according to Law No. 10 of 2009. This research will measure the level of business resilience Tourism in the Ciwidey tourist area uses indicators adapted from research by Cox, Anne. 2016. Tourism Resilience Index: A business self-assessment adapted to the characteristics of the tourism business in Indonesia in the form of: business plans and operational plans, disaster preparedness plans, marketing, workforce management, relations with other institutions, and support for sustainable tourism. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method, using primary data collection obtained from observation and interviews and secondary data. The analysis technique is carried out by describing the results of the data reduction that has been obtained. With the results of this analysis, the results of the tourism business resilience level in the Ciwidey Tourism area in the face of the threat of natural disasters have resulted in 1 indicator getting an assessment with a high level of resilience, 2 indicators getting a moderate score, and 3 indicators getting a low score, so it can be concluded the level of tourism business resilience in the Ciwidey Tourism Area is still in a low condition. Tourism business actors in Ciwidey District know and are aware of the dangers of natural disasters in the area, but this awareness has not yet become a stimulus for tourism business actors to make their tourism businesses resilient. Thus, tourism business actors need to be committed to being able to increase their business resilience from the threat of disasters so that their businesses can have sustainability and continue to exist and can adapt when facing critical conditions. |
