However, as time went on, the Soekarno-Hatta (Bandung) road often had traffic jams after the Padaleunyi toll road and the intersection of five intersections, namely Jalan Kopo Cibeureum, Jalan Moh. Toha, Jalan Buah Batu, Jalan Kiaracondong, and Jalan Gede Bage. This study to evaluate the structural conditions and design the overlay of AC using the AASHTO 1993 and MDP 2017 methods and then compare the results obtained based on the parameters used on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta (Bandung) at km 8 + 100 to km 11 + 600 (3.5 km). Evaluation of rigid pavements uses average daily traffic data, deflection obtained from testing the FWD tool, and temperature changes. If structural evaluation using the AASHTO 1993 backcalculation method results in the concrete modulus of elasticity (Ec) below the typical value between 3 million to 8 million psi, then the concrete pavement strength has decreased. While the evaluation of load transfer efficiency (LTE) obtained very poor results. The analysis using the AASHTO 1993 method based on the remaining life is thinner than the condition survey with the acquisition of thick overlay variations. In the MDP 2017 method, the overlay option is based on the maximum deflection (D0) and CESA4 does not require overlay. Meanwhile, the deflection curvature (D0–D200) and CESA5 require varying thicknesses of overlay layers. The AASHTO 1993 method takes into the deflection value and the condition of the existing rigid pavement, while the MDP 2017 method only takes into the deflection value. The result of overlay obtained for the slow lane in the AASHTO 1993 method is thinner than the MDP 2017 method. Meanwhile, for the fast lane in the AASHTO 1993 method, it is thicker than the MDP 2017 method. The predicted remaining life with a design life of 20 years, namely in the Cibiru direction is around 78,30%, and in the Gede Bage direction, it is predicted that the remaining life is around 80.00%.
