On the other hand, public spaces can serve the needs of society by encouraging interaction and activities among community members and by taking on the identity of the city. Due to the limited available land, increasing the number of urban forests is very difficult. This is one of the factors that must be considered when choosing a design location, given the high population density. Thus, it is very possible to view from the perspective of improving quality in the form of increasing public green space, such as the urban forest space in the middle of the city, Taman Kehati Urban Forest in Cimahi City, which was first built thanks to the initiative and support of the local community that prioritizes 4 (four) factors, including recreation, production, social, and economic. However, the quality of facilities and infrastructure in this area is still lacking in several aspects. This situation is exacerbated by the pandemic, which has caused a number of facilities and activities in the urban forest to be neglected. In this study, the fragmental method of design was used with problem-solving design techniques. The redesign of the Taman Kehati Urban Forest in Cimahi City area emphasizes the use of land as a public open space as well as considering it as an ecotourism space to address a number of potential issues and problems in the area with a public space approach that considers a number of criteria, including accessibility, comfort, security and safety, diversity of activities, identity and aesthetics, inclusiveness, meaning, sustainability, and flexibility. text
