Rapid industrial and residential developments have caused changes in land use, one of which is Green Open Space. This is marked by one of the former sand mines that were abandoned and experienced land degradation. In addition, it is exacerbated by the City of Cilegon experiencing air and water pollution. This project is an Environmental Ecotourism in Cilegon City. This facility accommodates education and environmental preservation to increase public awareness and a forum for community empowerment that supports the economy. This project's main facilities are ecotourism as a context response, environmental education, and community empowerment to improve the economy. The project, which has a land area of 27,000m2, is located at Jalan SMPN 8, Cikerai Village, Cibeber District, Cilegon City, which is a former sand mining site that has experienced soil degradation. The design issues contained in this project have a basis from Ecotourism Design as the best response to ex-mining land, namely designs based on nature, designs that focus on community sustainability and conservation, and designs that support learning activities. There are 4 main concepts of the project, namely Complementary Design Approach, Collaborative Space, Ecological Design, and Learning Space Design. Space organization is divided into 5 main zonings, namely service, commercial, educational, community, and green zones. The project has 4 main masses with the education and community zone masses as the center which looks more dominant and has a stronger focus (center), with the rest of the masses respecting it. Buildings are interconnected with outdoor areas and diverse vegetation. The main structural material in the project is steel with various scopes such as bricks, glass, and roster. text |
