This increase in population will be accompanied by an increase in food needs related to the food supply chain. Arunima (2022) says that every year, the food sector contributes 30% of total greenhouse gas emissions. Suryadi (2020) states that around 30% of food production in South Asia and Southeast Asia will be wasted. In the city of Bandung, as much as 96.47% of the city's food supply still comes from other regions. The Bandung City Government held an urban farming program called Buruan Sae to overcome this issue. However, the Buruan Sae program in the city of Bandung needs to be implemented properly. Architecture can intervene in this project. This project is a food hub that accommodates food production functions, urban farming educational functions, and commercial functions. This project is part of the development of the Laswi City Heritage Area which is located on Jl. Sukabumi No.20, Kacapiring, Batununggal, Bandung City. This project utilizes abandoned railroad warehouses using the adaptive reuse method to be used as a building with the concept of building integrated agriculture. This project is open to the public and communities, such as urban farming communities, environmental communities, and waste communities. Here, visitors can learn various methods of urban farming in the urban farming display and exhibition area, buy urban farming crops and UMKM products in the trader's kiosk area, pick their own vegetables and strawberries to then cook and consume in the restaurant area, and hold events and workshops in classrooms and function rooms. The design issues raised in this project are the provision of a building-integrated agriculture-based production & processing area for crops, the provision of interactive educational areas, and the integration of various functional zones. This design problem is solved by several design concepts, including the use of a transparent facade to let in sunlight which helps photosynthesis in urban farming areas, providing planting areas that can be picked by visitors, and the division of three main activity zones which are arranged according to activity flow and connected sequentially. text
