Production of runner can be classified into 3 kinds of production processes, they are one-piece casting, two-piece casting and three-piece casting. The most of runner production is one-piece casting. This final project deals with three-piece casting that separates runner into 3 components, ie: ring, cone and blade. These 3 components are connected by welding process. The welding process needs a good skill because the gaps between blades are so small. That's why it also needs suitable jig and fixture for the welding proccess. text |
