However, the presence of public transportation cannot yet be a solution to this problem due to the lack of management of public transportation facilities and infrastructure in Jakarta. In addition, urbanization also creates urban stress problems that reduce the productivity of urban communities. To overcome this, the government, in collaboration with PT MRT, initiated the concept of Transit Oriented Development at several station points to improve the quality of life for urban residents. The Blok M area is one of the points targeted for the implementation of the TOD concept. In the Blok M area itself there are several problems where the condition of the Blok M Mall is now closed and the Blok M Terminal is not integrated. Therefore, this project will design a transit center facility to maximize integration, increase and revive Blok M's economic activities, as well as restore social and community activities from Blok M. This project is located at Blok M Terminal on Jalan Sultan Hasanudin Dalam, Melawai, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta with an area of 16,500 m2. This transit hub project will accommodate three main functions, namely the terminal function, the commercial function, and the leisure function. There are three design issues raised, namely restorative space, spatial orientation, and attractive public space. These three design issues form a concept that is "restorating". Restoration in question includes the place, the path, and the society. The building composition will be made continuously from the Martha Tiahahu Literacy Park to eliminate the feeling of being underground in the building. To accommodate the leisure function, a rooftop garden is made on the roof of the building with various activities accommodated to respond to urban stress issues. In addition, integration with the MRT and other commercial facilities is responded by designing a skybridge that is directly connected to the transit center. The elongated building is designed with various retail and public spaces to accommodate various kinds of social and commercial activities. text
