Batik is deeply intertwined with the history and culture of Indonesian society. Batik is not just about its visual appearance, but also carries meanings, significance, and stories that inspire its wearers to embody those meanings. One of these batik variations is the classic batik Truntum. Truntum batik holds meaning and a story; it represents a cyclical batik pattern and originates from the depiction of stars. Batik Truntum symbolizes the rekindling of love, inspired by the story of a king who fell in love again after witnessing the queen creating a batik cloth inspired by the stars in the night sky. This knowledge is essential for the Indonesian community, especially because Truntum batik remains relevant and is still used by the people, particularly by brides' mothers during wedding ceremonies. Technology continues to evolve, including textile technology. An example of technological advancement in textiles is electronic textiles. Electronic textiles bring novelty and innovation to textiles, including traditional textiles like batik. Cultural-based technological innovations will be relevant in the future and hold urgency in the present. The innovation of electronic textiles in Indonesian textiles, focusing on artistic creations, can generate public interest in the development of textile technology. This research aims to produce a culturally rooted artwork that integrates traditional batik with the advancements in electronic textile technology. The final artwork will draw from the meaning, significance, and story of batik Truntum, reviving it through the depiction of the queen's figure. To accomplish this objective, an exploration to integrate batik Truntum with electronic textiles is being conducted. Batik and electronic textiles naturally have different requirements. The fusion of batik with electronic textiles will require exploration that balances the needs of both elements. This research will create an artwork that harmonizes the requirements of batik and electronic textiles, by the same time depicting the figure of the queen from the story of batik Truntum.
