Summary: | Someone who is not confident tends to have feelings of inferiority, pessimistic about
challenges, afraid and hesitant to convey ideas, indecisive in making decisions and
often compares himself with others. The author chooses to use sound art media
because sound is something that cannot be separated from our minds that speak
every day. The author limits personal problems that are then reflected on the
surrounding environment, such as how to be ready to adapt and be confident in
one's own abilities. The author records voices from various environments closest
to the author in the form of advice or input from the author's character that is not
liked and his own voice in the form of negative self-perception and then edits it
through the audacity application to combine or process it. Sentences that tend to
bring up feelings of pessimism, lack of confidence when comparisons arise, social
demands, not reaching expectations, lack of self-competence, and so on. Using
methods from psychology and social science to examine the relationship of these
problems. Visual ideas in the form of headphones connected to a media player
inside a black box. The use of headphones as well as more personalized to use like
thoughts in the heart. The concept of the medium chooses sound art, the voice of
the author and other relatives of the author that serves as an extension of aesthetics
by using readymade objects as related to the author's experience of the object, such
as standmusic partiture. The work as well as the author's self-reflection of the
juxtaposed sound from the assessment of the author's immediate environment and
changing the mindset of judgment or negative self-perception makes it more
focused on the solution to the question to be more critical of the action of change. |
