Description
Summary:High-voltage equipment needs to be monitored for its condition to find out if there are problems with the equipment. One of the sensors needed is a partial discharge (PD) sensor. One type of partial discharge sensors is a bow-tie antenna that works at UHF (ultra high frequency). In this study, research was conducted on the design of a combined bow-tie and long bow-tie antennas. The method used in this research is collecting data with simulation using antenna design software, then the antenna is printed on the PCB and the test data is collected directly in the laboratory. The results obtained indicate that the combination antenna has good return loss, VSWR, and input impedance characteristics and has superior bandwidth compared to bow- tie antennas and long bow-tie antennas with a bandwidth of 1054.5 MHz.
