Summary:The Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast (SCOBY), a biodegradable natural fiber, is an eco-friendly material. However, limited research impedes its widespread application. Exploration of sappan wood and tegeran wood natural dyes with mordants was conducted for color variation. Despite its fragility and susceptibility to humidity, SCOBY can be effectively treated through dehydration using a dehydrator. This process reduces mass and increases translucency.
