Yogyakarta is laid out with a deep philosophical foundation on the existence and relationship of humans with the God and nature as contained in the Yogyakarta‘s Cosmological Axis which connects Panggung Krapyak, Kraton and Tugu Golong Gilig. This cultural concept prompted the submission of Yogyakarta as a World Heritage City with the title City of Philosophy to UNESCO. To welcome this title, the role of the public is needed by fully supporting the government's efforts to preserve the Cosmological Axis area. However, the current lack of knowledge and understanding of society about the Cosmological Axis and its meaning still causes problems due to a lack of concern that undermines the spiritual values of society. To educate the public, especially young adults about the Cosmological Axis and the values contained therein, interesting media is needed, one of which is using illustration book. The purpose of designing this illustration book is as an interesting educational medium to know and understand the meaning of the Yogyakarta‘s Cosmological Axis to young adults so that awareness and concern for the Cosmological Axis area grows as a form of support for the submission of the Yogyakarta Cosmological Axis as a world heritage. The method used in this design is a qualitative method with data sourced from literature studies and questionnaires regarding the meaning of the Cosmological Axis, the target's knowledge of the Cosmological Axis, and the target's visual preferences. This illustration book presents the meaning of the Philosophical Axis which is abstract in nature into a continuous flow.
