| Summary: | Dance costume is important for a dance performance. Though different dances serves a different purpose, costumes are meant to complement the movement. As modern dance grew, the line between dance styles became blurry as it is now combined with other styles. An example being Jazz Funk, a commercialized form of Hip-Hop dance combined with various dance styles, known for its quick, precise, yet fluid movements. The outcome of this research is a dance costume in the form of a recently popular trend in the early 2020s called Subversive, adjusted into a Science Fiction themed clothing for a Jazz Funk choreography. |
