INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/73411 <p align="justify"> This research aims to develop a prototype for an automated system to map the global ionosphere dynamics using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) network. The ionosphere, the outermost layer of the Earth's atmosphere that is ionized, plays a crucial role in radio communication and satellite navigation. GNSS observations can be used to study the global ionosphere dynamics by measuring the variations in the arrival time of GNSS signals. However, GNSS data processing requires sophisticated and systematic processing techniques. In this study, an automated system prototype is built to generate Total Electron Content (TEC) maps, which is a key parameter in monitoring ionosphere dynamics. The system utilizes GNSS data processing techniques that involve the elimination of different-frequency GNSS observation data. The prototype has been tested and proven to produce accurate global TEC maps. The findings of this research can contribute to advancing the understanding of ionosphere dynamics and enhancing the accuracy of satellite navigation systems and radio communications. Suggestions for further development include using more receivers and satellite constellations, as well as integrating altimetry data to improve TEC estimation in oceanic regions. text
