It is widely known that tsunami incidents inevitably affect buildings. Buildings are crucial aspects of life, as they hold high economic value and functionality. Therefore, it is essential to calculate the vulnerability of buildings to disaster-induced damage to prepare anticipatory measures that can minimize significant economic losses. The availability of data is considered a crucial factor in determining the value of damage and economic losses of buildings due to tsunami disasters. This depends on the results of potential tsunami hazards in the research area, utilizing administrative boundary data, exposure, tsunami hazard, building prices, and vulnerability curves. Such data can produce an estimate of the level of damage to a sub-district and the value of economic losses due to the tsunami disaster in the coverage area of the research. In determining the level of damage to an area, the method used is curve fit based on the vulnerability curve of the 2006 Pangandaran Tsunami. The dominant taxonomy structure in all sub-districts for both school and health buildings are the one-storey MCF taxonomy. The total number of buildings damaged for education facilities is 412, while for health facilities, it is 9 buildings due to the tsunami disaster. Whereas, the calculation of economic losses is generated from the calculation of the damage index, HSGBN, and the total building area. The total economic loss for school buildings is estimated to reach 732,8 billion, while the total economic loss for health facility buildings is estimated to reach 26,25 billion caused by the tsunami disaster. text |
