Cyanotype is an old photographic printing process that produces distinctive bluetoned images. It was developed in the mid-19th century and gained back popularity due to its simplicity and unique aesthetic. The use of cyanotype as a photographic process on ceramic surfaces is examined in this study, along with its potential for artistic expression and surface decoration. The combination of ceramic and cyanotype may result in a durable and long-lasting artistic expression, fusing two artistic mediums into a single form. The research discusses the conceptual and creative value of cyanotype on ceramics, examining themes of nostalgia and memory, as cyanotype provides us with a precious opportunity to revisit the past through photos. At the same time, ceramic, known for its durability, offers a unique opportunity to preserve memories through the creation of durable photos. Unlike traditional paper photographs that can deteriorate over time, ceramic photos possess exceptional resilience, making them a lasting testament to cherished moments. Through a combination of practical experimentation, theoretical analysis, and artistic exploration, this exploration aims to contribute to the understanding of cyanotype as a technique for surface decoration and artistic expression on ceramic objects.
